Can you recommend HDMI cables and do they need to be 4k comaptible or will they all work with 4k material?

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same TV. The OP mentions a "UE75 ES 9090 SXZG, 75 inch costs €8000", whereas the one in John Lewis, following gel's link, is the Samsung UE75ES9000, and it costs 8000 pounds, not Euros. For a proper review of the one that John Lewis has, Home Cinema Choice magazine reviewed it quite favourably (four stars) in issue 215, the Xmas 2012 edition.

For myself, I think that those extra 10 inches are way, way too expensive over a 65-inch set, which costs typically about £2,500 to £4,000. If I had £8,000 to spend, it would be on a projector and screen, and I'm sure I could save at least £1,500 and have an image on a good screen that would be bigger than any TV.

Agreed too. To buy a TV like that you would have to have a lot more money than sense.

I can imagine it would be pretty cool in one of those big glass rich people houses, a PJ wouldn't work so well there
