I'm not sure if we are talking about the same TV. The OP mentions a "UE75 ES 9090 SXZG, 75 inch costs €8000", whereas the one in John Lewis, following gel's link, is the Samsung UE75ES9000, and it costs 8000 pounds, not Euros. For a proper review of the one that John Lewis has, Home Cinema Choice magazine reviewed it quite favourably (four stars) in issue 215, the Xmas 2012 edition.

For myself, I think that those extra 10 inches are way, way too expensive over a 65-inch set, which costs typically about £2,500 to £4,000. If I had £8,000 to spend, it would be on a projector and screen, and I'm sure I could save at least £1,500 and have an image on a good screen that would be bigger than any TV.

Agreed.

Agreed too. To buy a TV like that you would have to have a lot more money than sense.
