Well I am sure that if HDBaseT catches on in home Cinema/AV/Hifi applications, then Russ Andrews will probably oblige with something nicely braided and cryogenically treated (with wooden bits on each end) for a couple of hundred quid a metre.

Why is it that when we have settled with something they come up with things to make you buy ecerthing again , and again with no real benefit at this point, as these cables will carry exactly the same things, and why do companies never put backward compatibility in front of their thinking.
yes I really don't see why LAN cabling can't be the way forward - good connection, works to keep enterprises running 24/7, carries gigabit, excellent profit margin potential for "audiophile grade"...
