HD PVR or Not?

My new Panasonic TV has FreeviewHD & FreesatHD tuners built in. I'd like to buy a PVR to record programmes.
Do I need to buy a HD PVR if I want to record HD broadcasts or is the TV's tuner the one that is used?

Hi Andy, you will need to buy an HD PVR if you want to record any of the HD channels. Something like the Humax HDR FOX T2 would fit the bill nicely.

Indeed, or the Digital Stream DHR8205 (£100 cheaper than the Humax from John Lewis). Depends if you want any fancy extras like media streaming over the network or Internet TV Portals that the Humax will give you (though the DS will get iPlayer very shortly).
