just need something clarifying please

Does blu ray HD audio have to go through HDMI or can it go via coax/optical to HD receiver/amp????

You need to use HDMI or a BDP,that can decode the audio onboard and output via multi-channel analogue outs. Coaxial/Optical doesn't have the bandwidth for HD audio.
