Hard Drive recording?

Have recently purchased a panasonic dvd with freeview and recordable harddrive. What i wish to know is whether or not you can record from the radio stations to listen back to. Any ideas? also , when you listen to the radio on freeview, is there anyway off/down turning off the annoying picture that comes-up telling you about the radio programme etc For me this totally ruins the radio experienceof freeview.

yes, you can record radio programs just the same way as you would record a tv channel onto the hard drive (I got an amazing concert by Joe Bonamasa on Radio 2 not long ago. Turning off the radio programme guide will probably depend on your equipment. My Panasonic TV has this option, and i guess you will have the same option, so check your onscreen display on the radio station for the option to turn the screen off.
