green screen on ps3

bought a ps3 when i put it on i get a green menu screen and when i play games they have a green overlay,my tv is an omega with samsung screen ,1080i,im using hdmi cable which is a qx good quality cable,do any of you people know why this is and is it solvable?the bluray films play fine,iv had the ps3 back to the shop and the game and they said both fine,buying another tv isnot an option as mine is only a year old.

Probably still worthwhile changing the cable as that would be the easiest thing to sort. Doesn't the PS3 come with a SCART cable or something? You could give that a quick try. And if your telly has more than one HDMI input you could try that too.

with scart i wont get games in h.d.i have tried two different h.d.m.i cables and i only have one h.d output.today i took it and tried on friends t.v and its fine.so now i kno its my t.v.does anyone know of anything i can do?
