Got a Turntable and a Micro HiFi but...

I need an amp/pre-amp to sit between em. The HiFi is a Denon M37 and the turntable is a Project Essential 2. I'm on a budget (200 quid max), and just want to enjoy my old vinyl, so what should i get? I'm all ears good people 🙂

The NAD PP-2 would be a good choice and well below your £200. Alternatively the Cambridge Audio ones are very good, or the Rega Fono.

Don't you just need a phono-amp. Project do some for about £50, Rega is about £80, Graham Slee about £160, or you can look around for some used ones, there are quite a few about as people soon upgrade or get rid of them.

Yep, a phono amp is what's required. After reading the specs and reviews, I went for the Rega Fono Mini. If I develop a serious habit, I can always chop it in, like you say.
