Google Chromecast

Hello everyone, hopefully this is the right section for this topic.

I'm looking at possibly buying the google chromecast for my TV to be able to stream video's to from websites. I'm curious though, are you able to do this from an iPhone? i.e. browse a website on your iphone's safari browser and then send a video that may be on that site, to the chromecast and have it play on your TV? Or is this only possible from a laptop browser?

I would say its in the wrong section. However I have a Sony Blu ray player and a smart TV and the rest of my family who use iX devices are able to pull up videos online and then send the the TV in the same way i can with my Android device.
