First I would like to say Hi to all you good people at "What HI-FI?" I'm new to the forums and a noob when it comes to speakers so I came here for some advice :)

I recently purchased an "Asus Essence STX II 7.1" soundcard and I was wondering what speakers should I get to make good use of the soundcard.
I'm gonna be using the speakers for music and gaming mostly.
Looking for something at about 500-600$ price range.
Also if you could recommend some heahphones at about the same price range that would go good with the soundcard. Thanks in advance!

The Yamaha HS series of speakers are very good for the price.

What type of headphones? Open back or closed back? Are they for music, gaming or both?

I don't know many gaming or closed back headphones but if you just want something for listening to music and don't mind a bit of sound leakage then the Sennheiser HD650 are a very good choice.

Oh and welcome to then forum BTW. :)
