Good interconnect for NAD C326 amp and NAD C345 cd-player

Hello,

Probably not the first to ask this type of question, but does anybody know what's a good interconnect for the above set-up? Right now I have an IXOS XHA 516, but I understand it's not looked upon too favourably (actually haven't tested it myself, 'cause my CD-player is still out for repairs).

If I were to find this cable inadequate myself, what's a good alternative? I was thinking of buying the Chord CrimsonPlus, because of the favourable review it got here. But then, since I'm OK with shelling out 30 euro's more if it's worth it, I'd consider the CobraPlus as well. So basically the question is: are these any good for my set, and if yes, would the CobraPlus be audibly better than the CrimsonPlus?

I forgot to mention - in case it matters - I have DALI Lektor 6 speakers.

Personally id recommend the Van Damme UP LC-OFC cable - has less grain than standard OFC cables. Very cheap to boot, and in my opinion you would need to spend a lot more to get better

i'd personally reccomend the cheapest ones you can find, as i think they are just as good (ie, no different) as any other branded make at any price...

Hi,

I have both the older models chord crimson,and chord cobra 3. The chord cobra had a bit more detail in the mids, and the top end was a bit more open and airy than the chord crimson. Not a signficant difference but enough. They have the same kind of tonal balance, quite musical and slightly on the warm side of neutral - good cables for the price especially the chord crimson (better value). I liked them better than the vandenhul 102 III. Kimber pbj and timbre are nice too, a bit leaner slightly brighter and nicely detailed.

Thanks a lot. I decided to go for the Chrimson Plus, 'cause, like you said, it seems like a better value to me. Now I only need to get back my CD-player from repairs...

Chord Cobra 3 is a better cable but Crimson Plus takes some beating for close to £30. Match with Chord Silver Screen speaker cables for best results
