Gladiator Blu-ray - is the transfer as bad as some ppl make out?

I read that they rubbed out some parts of the arrows and spears during the germania battle, but is it noticeable during regular viewing?

(ie if you're not searching for it frame by frame)

It,s not not up there with the best quality transfer , but still it,s definitely very pleasing one , both the vedio and audio qaulity of this blu-ray release are far more supeerior then the one u would find on dvd. definitly worth the upgrade!

I watched it a week ago (after buying it when it was first released). Its fine. Buy with confidence.

Picture is not perfect, but still very fine and much better then the DVD.

On this Dutch site you can see Blu-ray Disc screencaptures. Click on the pictures for a larger version (and then press the letter f for the big full HD picture). Gives you a good impression on the picture quality.
