Gaming headphones in surround sound.

I would like a decent pair of heaphones for late night gaming, i dont mind normal headphones but would like to know if there are any good surround phones on the market, my budget is £100 although i will spend more if the gains are worth it, any advice welcome.

The Turtle Beach HPX1's combined with the Astro Mix Amp available from Limexb360 are the dogs dangly bits. A tad expensive maybe for the two but well worth it. Check out the many reviews for the combination. Limexb360 have excellent customer service/support too.

I own the Sharkoon 5.1 V3 ones. Absolutley brilliant with true 5.1, not simulated. Placed a mini review on here if you search. Go to Sharkoon's main website to see many, many, awards for these. Once all the kits attached you have just 1x 3m cable for the headphones, tiny decoder and other cables can be 'tucked' out of site. Also a review on www.trustedreviews.com.

Purchased for £119. Gaming is wierd without them now. Can be used with DVD, BD player, Xbox, PS3 and PC and includes a detachable mic. You can even add a PC speaker kit into the tiny decoder should you want to upgrade or use speakers when possible. Haven't bothered with that though, great as they are.
