Hi

Ive owned a old Panasonic plasma for 3 years before i changed it to a new version, i use my Xbox 360 and PS3 pretty much every day and have never had a problem with plasma screens with burn issues even when i owned my old plasma to now using it on my new plasma.

I would suggest one thing though, if you use your games console/s on your plasma to make sure the picture is set on normal, not dynamic or high brightness etc as this could cause burning on your screen, aslong as you set the picture up correctly, then you wont have any problems, might be a good idea to set it up using the THX optimizer as this calibration does not use very high levels of brightness etc.

I have the TH42PX one which is about 3-4 years old, maybe 5.

I have left things on for a long time and yes you get burn, but when you watch tv for like 5 min, it goes away.

Never had one problem.

Best TV I have owned, and will be buying a panny when maybe 3d is cheap

Just to clarify, if ghost images remain on your screen but go away, that's image retention (common on a plasma) and not screen burn. Screen burn is permanent and irreversible, image retention is temporary and very scary the first few times you get it, but not too bad after that!

(NB - I've had plasmas all my adult life and never suffered from screen burn)

jonsey:do LCD`s burn as easy ???

No LCD's don't usually suffer from any image burn due to the lack of phosfer in their design but can be prone to image lag which can completly ruin your gaming experiance.
