I would like to buy a Freeview PVR for my elderly father-in-law.  It therefore needs to be very easy to manage and to set up.  Recording needs to be fool proof.  It would be good if he could record one programme whilst watching another.  I was thinking of the Goodmans GHD8020f2, but Amazon implies that you can only record analogue whilst watching digital and visa versa.  The review here does not seem to imply that. Which is right and any other recommendations?

I'm very happy with the Humax PVR 9200T - it has 2 tuners - so you can record 2 progs at a time - and for reasons I dont understand - you will still be able to watch some of the other channels.

It's easy to use - my wife never got the hang of the VHR or the DVD - but she loves this - we are near retirement age so we may be of similar age to your father in law

Thanks guys. ÿLooking at some reviews on the web, how bad is the noise from the fan? ÿThere seems to be some indication that there was a firmware update which will/has cure the problem.
