Freeview HD channels on LG TVs

I have the latest WebOS 24 on two LG TVs, the latest being a 2024 C4 which I bought late last year. Unfortunately, neither TV seems to support Freeview HD channels.
We have very good Freeview signal strength and got the HD versions of the terrestrial channels on our older Panasonic and Sony TVs, but the LGs don't have them despite numerous updates and rescanning for the Freeview channels. I can't find any advice online about this issue - any ideas? LG support services couldn't offer anything constructive.

Do you have the SD channels, as it's possible that they automatically default to HD if available. (It seems strange but just a thought)

I use Freesat, but the Freeview channels in HD are all there.

My wife’s less sophisticated LG definitely has HD Freesat on channels like BBC News, whereas our nearby Freeview local substation only has SD. Is there a setting somewhere perhaps?
