Focal 714V vs Acoustic Energy Aelite 3 vs ?

Hi

I'm looking for speakers for my Marantz MCR603 audio system.

Unfortunately my order on some Mission 794 blew up, so now I'm hunting speakers again 🙁

What speaker would you prefer - the Focal or the AE Aelite 3?

Have in mind, that my livingroom is 30m2, and the 603 is 60 Watts. I listen to all kind of music, and the speakers would also be in use when watching movies.

Other suggestions are very welcome, and it's best if they can be bought at Audio Affair 🙂

AEs are better allrounders and got more wawawoom

I can see that AE has 4 terminals and Focal only 2.

That means no biwire on the Focal....

If only I could see them live and audition them as well....

All Focals are single wired. I've not heard AEs so can't comment. The 714Vs, however, are fabulous monitors but need a lively amp to make the most of them. They can sound a little pedestrian with the wrong amp and source.

I've no idea how capable the 60 watts on the Marantz is...?

I like warm and detailed sound, smooth bas and clear midrange

The Focal is a little laid back style - right?

I ended up with the Mission 794SE's instead 😉

My wife did not like the wood finish on the other speakers, so the only way was Mission
