Focal 706V reviews

Hello. Some people here recommended me these speakers. I listen mainly to classical music and jazz but also some Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Tool.

I couldn't find any review of them in the what hifi mag. Can you please post your comments on them?

I've auditioned these. They are very good for classical music, and Buckley's rendition of Halleluja souned superb with an Arcam set up. In large-scale orchestral works I could pinpoint the sections of the orchestra - i.e. superb soundstage. They are a bit brighter than some speakers, so the right partnering is important. I nearly bought them (but went for Usher S520 in the end), but you really do need to hear them before you buy because I can imagine that they're not to everyone's liking. I thought they trounced the Monitor Audio BR2s that I auditioned at the same time for detail and excitement.

Fantastic speaker ! Lots of detail, good tight bass and the treble is sweet.
