Hi all,
I currently own a Denon DM38Dab system and am looking to upgrade to seperates. I have a 1750-2500 GBP budget and would like an integrated amp, Cd player and DAC with some floorstanding speakers. I would prefer a one make system for the boxes at least, my room is 6x6m and I mainly listen to classic rock and indie. I have looked at Marantz, Rega and Audiolab but would like to know from personal experience if the difference in sound quality between these is very noticeable. As for speakers currently my main options are Rega RS3's, Motive 2, DC6T's and B&W 684. Any opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are so many ways of spending that sort of budget, and so many different sounding systems you could end up with so taking your time to find out what you like is crucial.

The best thing to do would be to put together an initial shortlist based on any recommendations you receive and then get out to some dealers and do some listening with a representative sample of the music you listen to.

So that we can make some useful comments and recommendations it would be good to understand how the system will be used. What sort of music do you listen to? How large is your room? Does the room have lots of soft furnishings or more hard surfaces? What do you like about your current system and what improvements are you looking for? Do you have a large collection of CDs or is mos tof your listening file based?
