Ok, so I've had quite a heavy Radio 1 Live Lounge session today and thought it might be a good spin-off thread from the "Top 5 Best Tracks/Album" types.

I really love the Live Lounge concept, especially artists who cover a track from a style which is a million miles away from their music normality. I find the stripped back accoustic tracks quite raw and spellbinding at times.

So, the qustion is..............

"What are your Top 5 favourite/best sounding tracks from any of the Radio 1 Live Lounge albums?"

Hopefully this isnt quite as taxing a proposition to narrow down as naming your all time favourite tracks/albums! The pool is thankfully a little smaller!

Mine would be (in order of preference):
[*]"Foundations" - Newton Faulkner (original by Kate Nash) [*]"Love Machine" - Arctic Monkeys (original Girls Aloud) [*]"You Know I'm No Good" - Arctic Monkeys (original Amy Winehouse) [*]"Thats Not My Name" - Dizzee Rascal (original Ting Tings) [*]"Sexyback" - Corinne Bailey Rae (original Justin Timberlake)
Ok, so that did prove a little harder than I thought, D'oh!!

Got it down to only two, hmmmmmmmmm. You're either a very hard task master or supremely decisive!

Great choices, I particularly like the strong vocals on the Thirty Seconds to Mars track.

Decisive? Ha! My idea of torture would be having to choose eight pieces of music for Desert Island Discs

Not overly up on Live Lounge, however the Arctic Monkey Love Machine did come to mind. I'd forgotten about Dizzy doing Thats Not My Name too. Very good, "they call me blood, they call me rude boy, they call me mate, thats not my name". Excellent.

Just a couple rather than a top five:

Absolute pick of the lot IMO, was Leona Lewis doing Snow Patrol's Run. She totally nailed it- very emotional, if it doesn't make your bottom lip tremble then you must be dead...

Second place goes to The Automatic's stab at Kanye West's Gold Digger. One track where Alex Penney's shouting worked perfectly!
