Given the current concerns with AI making inroads into songwriting, it prompted me to revisit the thorny subject of auto-tuning.
When I became aware of this form of cheating, it saddened me greatly to think that the many singers I've looked up to in the past may in fact be a joint venture with a piece of computer software !
It's a bit late now, but could albums come with the equivalent of a Government Health Warning, to highlight the use of auto-tuning ?
Are others disillusioned by this form of deception ?

I'm aware the OP was referring to a specific framework with questionable breach of honesty and artistic integrity but the impact of AI is far more reaching than the opening thread, we are talking about Orwellian levels of deception.

I truly believe, there should be a legally binding act to protect people from any adverse influence. Such a law should be legislated in the UK where I'm based; if the contents are AI generated there should be a notification label, like you see on packet of cigarettes; it may not have the health issues of the latter but it is a form of deception and depending on the contents could be consider as fraudulent if the gaslighting is instrumental in you targeting a certain group (hateful act towards someone or other beliefs etc.) or force to make a purchase from the parties responsible for generating the AI marketing content.

If the separation of powers still hold true in the UK and the government who have used AI as a deception mechanism to wilfully impose it policies, should be held accountable under the law.

It really is a minefield, it's about time our politicians have a serious debate about it's adverse affects.
