Hello.

I need to extend the cable coming from the SKY dish . I would sooner replace the whole cable, but its awkward to get to. Due to the glass conservatory . What is the best method for joining two pieces of cable ?. Ideally without affecting signal strength ?

Thank you

Bare in mind that, that kit contains F connectors for for 4.5mm diameter, WF65 'shotgun' cable.

If you have 6 - 7mm diameter, WF100 type cable you need this kit instead.

Also the thin WF65 shotgun cable is only really suitable for shortish runs, say upto about 20m. So if the total run is going to be much more I'd recommend replacing it altogether with WF100 back to the dish.

Also if the joints going to be outside, then don't. Replace the cable.

Even if sealed with almagamating tape, water will eventually get in, and it's surprising how quickly it can make its way through the cable via capillary action...

Sorry for the late reply.

I will check the cable,to confirm which type is used. Then buy the correct kit.The cable will be joined indoors, and the should be less the 20Meters .

Cheers :)
