Exposure 2010S versus Primare I20

I just bought a pair of Dali IKON 2 MKII speakers and now beginning to look for amps. I finally narrow down two options: Primare I20/I21 or Exposure 2010S.

Currently, it seems that there is no longer brand new Primare I20, so if I go for it, it would be pretty much a used one. (Not sure if it would be out of work in my hand).

I read many reviews about these two brands and also audition Primare I32 and Exposure 2010s separately (one week between the two audions, so hard for me to compare...). And still not sure about the difference between them, especially which one is warmer?

Any one could give me a brief introduction? Help me out! Many thanks...

Primare and Exposure are total opposites in sound according to my ears.

Primare is the more clinical and detailed whereas the Exposure is in the Naim mould ie rhythm, timing and fun and is warmer in sound

It all goes down to what music you listen to - If you like predominantly rock then i would go with the Exposure all day long. If however you like acoustic and classical then the Primare is the one for you.

Musical taste will decide this one for you. All in my personal opinion.

The Primare i32 is a far more expensive amp, but personally I'd be looking at Exposure, Roksan Kandy or Creek with Dalis.

Hi Rich,

Thank you for your reply. I like acoustic and classic. So perhaps I need to go for Primare...?

And is there a big difference between I20 and I21? Anyone heard both of it? Thanks.

I am just assuming Primare I32 is the same style as I22 and that shop does not have I22 for audition that day. So I auditioned I32 instead. But compared with Primare, why you chose Exposure, Roksan Kandy or Creek with Dalis? Thanks for your explanations.
