Exotic problem

Hi everybody,

My first post is right away a question: About a year ago I bought a Naim Unitiqute, thinking it would match with my ProAc TR8S speakers... And yes, they can dance, even brilliantly. But somewhere I got the impression that the Naim is rather underpowered to drive the speakers correctly. So I tried to add a Cyrus 8 Power to drive the speakers... wrong move... the volume goes up as intended but the music becomes harsh... so no joy.

I am thinking now about two options... add a Naim Power Amp or replace the speakers... or maybe both... my budget ids about 2000 Euro's...

Anybody any thoughts or recommendations? Thx in advance.

You may not want to hear this, but I think you should try to get a listen to your speakers with Sugden amplification, and if you like what you hear, sell your amps and get an A21SE or an IA-4.
