dvd recorders

I have a pioneer v444 dvd at the moment,the wife wants a dvd recorder,is the dvd recorder as good as a dedicated dvd recorder on playing dvds.I have ordered a Pioneer 507hxd tv,naim nait amp and Focal 714v speakers plus Naim cd5i,so which dvd recorder should i get.Any advice please.

From my personal experience, Sony, Pioneer and Panasonic all make very
reliable dvd recorders. Which you may need probably depends on specific
needs and your budget, but with a recorder from one of those 3 brands,
you can't hardly ever go wrong.

Not all DVD recorders make good DVD players, but this latest generation of products have impressed us, including features like 1080p upscaling as well as strong playback performance.
