Does Everyone need Subwoofer?

I agree with the guys - subwoofer is integral for home cinema satisfation.

Subwoofer, oh yes.

Essential in feeling the presence and impact on the movie soundtrack.
Also because it is doing more of these duties the bass can be rolled off on the speakers giving the amp more headroom to do a better job on the midrange etc.

If they live in the flat below me, with laminate flooring and absolutley no concept of reasonable hours and volume levels, then no way!! Where's my shotgun ...
