Does anyone know if still available - Atacama Europa Ref 8 ???

Hi,

All my kit is on an Atacama Europa Reference 8 LCD AV Stand.

This is still widely available everywhere in black glass.

My problem is that I have 4 stands with the silver frames / spikes but in ANTHRACITE glass.

Best explained as clear glass but with a faint green tinge to it - which I really like but is dis-continued.

I have been searching ebay and phoning the more popular specialist retailers for about 3 years now to no avail.

Someone was selling the exact one on ebay a few months ago but only as a three tier set-up - I even tried to get him to sell me just one of the units but he wasn't having any of it. I put in a low bid for the lot but his reserve was not met despite it not selling.

This is the only time I have ever come across it before in the past few years.

I am after either a 135mm one or a 185mm version.

Buying a black one will just not go so is not an option.

Anyone ?????????????

I realise this is an old post, but stumbled across it by accident whilst searching for something else.

I have a brand new, clear glass, Europa reference 8 235mm shelf. Sent to me in error via an eBay purchase that was supposed to have been black glass. Vendor will accept it back, but happy to sell to you if you are interested (or even monitoring this old thread)!

Thanks for a reply.

I finally got hold of a base module that although not perfect still intergrates well with my rack (just has the base fit spikes as opposed to the in between legs - if that makes sense).

Got very lucky on flea bay, put in an offer below 50% which was finally excepted.

Was searching for three years !!! So very happy now.

Sorry I could not be of help but really appreciate someone finally taking an interest in the post.

Just out of interest - how much would you sell for ?

Also, is it the glass with the slight green tinge to it ?

I dont think I would be tempted unless it was a very good offer (dont want to get your hopes up).

Just realised that this is the 135mm shelf, not the 235mm shelf, if that makes a difference?

I have got the black version, so obviously this is no use to me. Not sure what you mean by green tinge? It looks like clear glass, but if you look at the edges at a certain angle, they definately are green. Also has the silver legs

I would be more happy to let this go for £60 inc shipping? Its what I paid for it on eBay last week

As I said, the seller told me it was black, and as the shelf is brand new and the box had never been opened, I think that is why the seller assumed it was black, not clear. It was only when I received and opened it that the colour was discovered

I am not really after another base unit - if it was the 235mm unit then I would of had it but alas it's not.
