Hi

Im looking to but a docking system but all the ones ive looked at are of very poor sound quailty. I want something thats going to fill the room. If I have to spend a bit more I suppose I could but would rather not. Looked at the Audioengine A5s that has been mentioned on here and that looks good but cant find where to buy one and if it will be easy to set up as I know very little if not anything about these.

Please help if you have time.

Thank you

Hi Hammerchud,

You could save £50 and buy a Bose Sound dock for £149. it's the older model but is a bargain at that price. it has the same sound as the new shape which is selling for over £200.

My Girl friend bought the JBL sound dock to use when teaching her dance classes and it was terrible! it had plenty of base but just could not fill a room. It lasted a couple of hrs before it broke and has since been exchanged for a Bose and she thinks it's amazing quality.

Now go forth & Buy!

You could try this. Should give you a good sound and is at a good price. You would have to add some speakers though.

The Audioengine A5s are dead easy to set up. You could start by looking at www.ecodigital.co.uk, who I believe are the UK distributors.ÿ

Fatman vs Bose. Try both. If £200 is the absolute maximum then the Bose wins as you will not get decent speakers for £30. If you can squeeze up to £250 then Bose sounddock series 2 and change vs Fatman with reasonable speakers and the advantage of future upgrades.
