Do any SACD player output a digital signal to allow you to connect to a dac?

was looking through a number on instruction manuals for sony and marantz sacd players and they all seem to say that they can't output sacd via coaxial digital out - is it possible to connect these player to an external dac - i was looking at the cheaper end of the market

No, while most have an S/PDIF electrical or optical digital output suitable for an external DAC, this only works when playing CDs or the CD layer of hybrid Super Audio CDs.

A few will output Super Audio CD over an HDMI output, either as DSD or LPCM, but this requires an AV receiver able to accept these formats.
