All the reviews regarding the Panasonic TX-26LXD70 LCD TV indicate that it supports 24fps, however I have justed purchased a Panasonic DMP-BD30 Blu-ray player which supports 24fps and connected it to my TX-26LXD70 via a 'CHORD HDMI' 1.3 Silver Plus' cable, and I am unable to turn on the BD-Video 24p Output setting (this option is greyed out). Can anyone help?

Are you outputting at 1080p? I think the BD30 associates its 24fps with the 1080p signal. So if you set it to 720p it wont let you do 24fps. This is just a guess mind but my 24fps option is greyed out and I have it set at 720p.

I have a panasonic th50px70 that 'what hi-fi' mag said could display 24fps, yet even with my bd30 set at 1080p I still can't switch 24fps to 'on'.

I too have the BD30 and the 24fps feature is greyed. I have a 32LXD700 and 26LXD70 which I have seen quoted in some magazines as having 24fps support but neither the Panasonic website or the manuals make any mention of, or claims to, support of 24fps.

As far as I am aware it is only the recent plasmas and LCDs with an '8' in the model number which support 24fps. Obviously I stand to be corrected.

I think this is to do with the fact that while the TV will handle the signal, it won't do so in its native form, but using a pulldown. I suspect something in the VieraLink control connection between the TV and the player is telling it not to output 24fps for this reason. But that's only a guess, not having both products in front of me.

Andrew, any suggestions on how to get around this problem? Both the TV avd Blu-ray player give me the option to turn the Vieralink off, which I have done and I still cannot select 24fps.

just purchased pana bd30 hooked up to pioneer plasma 436xde 3yrs old now set the panny to output at 24p and presto the pioneer picked it up straight away the pioneer is not a full hd resolution but it supports 1080 at 24fps unless your tv supports it ,your out of luck ,fantastic picture at 24fps
