Hi again - im looking for some advice on my new system - its configured as follows
-Marantz PM66SE Amp
-Majority Fitzwilliam 3 - for Internet Radio, Radio, MP3 Playback, Bluetooth - RCA Cable
-VU+ Duo2 Satellite TV - for satellite TV Stations and Recordings - standard RCA Cable
-Marantz 3000D CD player - Standard RCA Cable
-JVC 40" Android TV - wired using a 3.5mm Jack cable - using the Fitzwilliams 3.5mm Input, so the TV is connected to the Amp through this device -
-Sony SS-H450 Speakers
We were on a tight budget so most of this, excluding the Fitzwilliam, was bought Second Hand - but all is in working order. The project started out because the TV has horrendous sound quality. We were originally going to buy a soundbar, but the price of a decent one seemed to skyrocket when we began adding features - so we decided to go all out and get a proper HiFi which both myself and the missus really enjoy using, nearly every day
The one issue we seem to have is that there is audio distortion when watching anything through the TV. The distortion is a sharp popping sound, which seems to only come through when we are watching movies or shows with quite a high amount of sound, or action sequences
Our Satellite receiver is wired seperately, and we have, as of yet, not noticed any distortion on this. Unfortunitely the TV has built in Netflix. Im wondering whether the problem is that its wired through the fitzwilliam? This seemed like the best solution, as i can use the Fitzys Equalizer to reduce Bass at night - When i have googled this issue, i have gotten mixed responses ranging from blaming the speaker cables, to the Fitzys input/output - to the RCA Cables
Id really appreciate some advice on this!
Thanks in advance
