I'm not a fan of gimmicky offers that I will likely not use.
What Netflix needs is to unbundle their content. Not everyone wants games and live sports along with their shows and movies, so why are we paying for those things?
They are following the cable TV model that they helped destroy. The gripe for decades with cable was paying for channels we never watched and now Netflix is making many of us pay for content we will never use.
It would also be nice if Netflix would have more than one or two seasons of a show but they do that because they want to spend all their money on new content that will help them get new subscribers and having all the seasons of an older series isn't going to do that.
What most of us do, and why just one or two seasons works, is when we run out of new things to watch we cycle through the familiar again and it becomes background noise as we do other things.
