I'm looking to transfer a large CD collection to a digital domain that I can then decently connect to an arcam separates hi fi and occassionally to a twin CD DJ mixing desk.

I don't really require NAS and don't ideally want to have to use a PC to load and equally a stand alone hard drive doesn't seem to fit the bill. Pretty much along the lines of thre Brennan JB7 from what I can gather so far.

It'll need to able to convert in a lossless format and have at least 1TB (2000 CD's lossless?) Also being able to transfer about 30gb from my itunes libary on my PC would be useful.

Any ideas? Appreciate keeping it simple for me. The Brennan seems OK but limited on storage? I want the best quality but not necessarily anything that's state of the art.

Thanks

As stated, your requirements would suggest an Olive 4HD or Naim HDX. If you were OK using a PC to rip, then a Squeezebox Touch with a 1Tb USB dik would do it for a lot less £

I've been looking around the net and the following look like good candidates:

Netgear EVA9150; Popcorn C-200; Eminent EM7080.

I'm hoping to get something for less than £300 that is a standalone unit (with internal hard drive). I can rip my CDs on the PC and transfer over.

It is very hard to find any info on the music side of these type of machines e.g. audio quality, coverflow, playlist creation/modification/ease of use etc.
Also, reviews are usually done when they first appear on the market and some of them are being improved all the time with updates - especially the Popcorn.

Still looking...has anyone got any suggestions?
