Looking aimlessly at this forum, a few minutes ago, I got to thinking it was a pity our resident headphone expert, anort3 went, never to be seen here again. with that I did a search and, found an anort3 on the PC Gamer forum, an American talking about headphones. Seems he is still around, just not here.

There's a bit of life imitating art in the order of the crew's death in Alien. In the film, it's Kane (Hurt), Brett (Stanton), Dallas (Skerritt), Ash (Holm), Parker (Kotto), Lambert (Cartwright) - followed by the Alien itself. Skerritt's obviously dodged the bullet in that he's still alive (along with Cartwright), but in life, Hurt died first, followed by Stanton, Holm and then Kotto - exactly as per the film.

A bigger fly in the real life ointment is that the Alien (Bolaji Badejo) died first, at just 39.

I read in Science Focus that there's very little in the way of research into flatulence. A small-scale one showed that on average, a healthy human farts 32 times per day, with the lowest being 4 and the highest 59*. Having a high fibre diet and a love of beans on toast, I fear I may be in the higher reaches...

(Another ongoing study had peak fart at 175. Wouldn't want to share space with that person.)
