Issues!!

Anybody have any bugs and particular issues with this "award" winning product?

I have read quite a bit regarding people saying they have problems with their Sky boxes etc?

Last night as I was watching a film for the first time I happened to press the option button to see what the options were and the Denon changed the input. The info came up on screen that it was no longer showing the original resolution for the ultra hd disc, as a result, the whole screen went black. The only way i could get the film to replay, was by stopping the disc on the blu ray player, ejecting it, closing the tray again, then the Denon reset itself. The sound on the receiver is pretty good , when it's working, and the specs look good on paper for the money, but I'm getting an overall sense of cheap and unfinished.

.... there will be firmware updates to take care of them. I'd be surprised if Denon had the resources of Microsoft and Apple and IBM and.... and all the computer hardware providers combined to take care of every iddy-biddy compatibility issue off the bat.

Sounds like a firmware programming bug, not a deficiency in the receiver proper, to me.

same thing happened on privious models, same with the marantz vesions too, just have to suck it up until you get a firmware update, could try using a different hdmi cable, or input, used to have to power down and start over on the one i had, sent it back in the end and got a refund as it wa happing everyday
