Hi guys

Have purchased the Panasonic Blu Ray player and disapointed by the upscaling capability of standard DVD to 1080p, i am not expecting miracles but a friend has a denon DV1940 hooked up to his Pana PZ80 and the quality of standard DVDs is amazing, IMO between Sky HD and Blu Ray, can anyone comment on the above and is the Panasonic Blu ray player just average at upscaling DVD

Thanks

I think Panasonic is an excellent picture tv producer (CTV, LCD and Plasma) other than Pioneer and Samsung. Maybe it is about TV rather than player. Just maybe

Hi

My TV is a Panasonic PZ80, the Blu ray picture when showing upscaled DVD is not the best, when i connected my mates Denon 1940 up half an hour ago the picture just seemed cleaner and sharper, i just wondered if this machine is superior for upscaling as i have an option to purchase a used machine for £70.

I dont have any bluray player. And I never purchased any panasonic player (yet). But some dvd players feature picture setting like contrast, colour, brightness, and sharpness too. You can try reduce its sharpness.

Hopefully it works better.
