Denon DM39 usb query

I have a Denon DM39 player which has a USB connection, can i record from my pc/laptop onto a usb stick

and then play on the Denon machine. Please forgive my ignorance but am nearly in my eighties so all this

technology is very strange to me.

You can indeed. I should imagine the 39 is similar in spec to the DM38 model I have, which is now in attic. In which case it won't work with wav type files on a usb stick, but mp3 files absolutely fine
