Denon D-M38DAB and CD-R/RW

Hi all!

I'm pre-shopping for a new Hi-Fi at the moment, and am strongly interested in the above model given the generally excellent reviews I've seen everywhere. My main concern is that on the section for it on this site, it says that it does not play CD-R/RW - I have quite a few of these and would like to be able to play them. Reviews elsewhere, howevere, say that it does play them - can someone say for sure whether or not it does, so I know whether or not to keep this on my list of options.

Hi,

I have the Denon DM38 and what an excellent sytem it is too!! I can confirm that it does indeed play CD-R but havn't tried RW.

Couldn't you take a CD/RW into your dealer to check weather it plays or not.

What a great idea slewis - that is, indeed, an excellent suggestion, so obvious really that it should have bitten me on the nose!

Gazuk - thank you! I don't think I have much on RW, so I'm not too worried about that in all honesty, but that's great news! Firmly at no. 1 on my wanted list, I just need to start saving up now!
