Hey, im new to the forum but advice would be greatly appreciated
I just purchased a Denon AVR-3311 and was wondering if anyone had some advice on suitable speakers to match
I realled dont want anything too bright, ive auditioned some and was not impressed.
I would like some floorstanders that can eventually be built up into a 5.1 system in a year or so.
Budget is around £800
I auditioned the monitor audio RX6's and the B&W 684's, i found the RX6's very bridgt and much preferred the 684, but still found them slightly muddled. I also heard the tannoy revolution signature DC6T's but it wasnt a very good store so they only showed me them on the shop floor with a dedicated stereo amp, hard to judge, but I did find it very clear and not too bright
I understand my budget isnt going to buy me perfection but does anyone has some suggestions for a good matching speaker.
So far I like the B&W 684's and the tannoys, but i need to demo them again
Its for music and movies 50/50. Room is around 9x4 with the tv on the 9m wall
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Chris
