Can anyone help solve my problem before my head explodes, I've been getting a feedback noise from my Mission sub when connecting it to my new 2309. I disconnected each conponent one by one to isolate the offending item and found it to be my V+ box.

I tried changing the hdmi cable, the input channel and even tried using the scart from the v+ and still got the same resulting noise from the sub. Has anyone else got this conbination, if so have you had similar problems and is there a solution?

I originally thought it might be to do with the s/w cable so I got a Chord Crimson and still the same noise.

HELP!! ITS DRIVING ME BONKERS.

Also, can anyone tell me how to remove the stoppers from the speaker terminals of the 2309 so that I can use banana plugs to connect the speaker cable.

Try a small flat head screwdriver or pliers in conjunction with some good ol' elbow grease and perseverance. They will come out!

Will have to give some thought to the sub problem..

That's the strange thing about it, the only connection between the v+ box and the receiver was through the Tosh 37z lcd tv via chord hdmi.

Screw into the centre of the bung with asmall self tapping screw, then pull on that, gives you a bit more of a purchase.

Sorry forgot to mention, with the sub have you got your V+ connected via optical for the sound? If so make sure the HDMI audio override (home, option 8, option 4 (i think) is turned to on). Other than that cant think of anything off the top of my head.

v+box into 2309 via hdmi

Toshiba ep30 hddvd into 2309 via hdmi

2309 into Toshiba 37" Zseries LCD tv via hdmi

2309 into Mission s/woofer via Chord Crimson

Speakers are B&W 600 series front & centre, B&W bipol rear's

Apart from my earlier responses try the following, see if they make a difference

Plug V+ direct into TV via HDMI and optical output of V+ to reciever

or

Plug V+ into Denon via componant

Hope this helps

Tried this, no improvment.

I'll give the component connection a go when I get a cable.
