Hi guys

Looking for help on this one. My amp has suddenly stopped playing audio from my AirPort Express, which is connected via optical cable.

I've troubleshooted the problem, and the issue definitely lies with Optical Input 2. I've had a look and the input is still assigned correctly. I can't for some reason however bring up any menus on the input.

What may be causing this, outside of a fault with the unit?

Your help on this issue is greatly appreciated.

Nope, not the cable. When troubleshooting I plugged the AE via the same optical cable into Opt In 1 which worked fine (although this input is reserved for my V+ box - which didn't work when I plugged that into Opt In 2).

It's definitely something directly related to the input. All of the other inputs I use work fine, so it's not an overall problem with the amp or its output.

The other thing I note is, when I'm switched to that input, I can't seem to bring up any sort of menu in order to have a look. I have to switch to another input to check the input assignations.

Cheers!

Is the Input assigned to the right optical port, check if it is assigned to O1 or O2 as these can be changed.

I'm sure there was a post on here about someone having the same sort of problem. It ended up that he had to return the receiver, it could've been the same model too. It would be a good idea to contact the supplier.

Have you tried the mode button this selects analog, auto or ext inputs, it needs to be auto, the mode button is on the back of the remote and the front of the amp.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner! Thank you so much, someone (possibly me since the missus probably doesn't even know there's any buttons on the back of the remote...) must've pressed the auto button at some point. Thanks again!
