New to home cinema. Just got a new Denon 1909 AVR, which I am trying to set up.

Question: how do you change between the different 6 listening zones? I have set up the six zones using the auto set up but cannot find in the manual how to switch between the different zones.

Help would be appreciated.

I am assuming this is the six listening positions when using auto set up?

If it is as far as I am aware ( i may be wrong) then these extra positions during setup just allow for a more accurate "picture" of your room sonically.

in that case, you don't switch. The system calibrates to give you the best sound based on the average of those points. If you watch telly on your own, set up for one point only.

Thanks for the feedback, I had assumed (wrongly it appears) that the 6 positions allowed the switching of settings depending on how people were positioned (may sit in a diffrent position went playing a video game etc) in the room!

Next time I set up will leave the auto set up mic in the same position for the 6 settings.

Cheers

you don't need to go through all six positions - you can calibrate at any time. I just did my end of the sofa, her end, and the middle and left it at that.

When I calibrated my 1909, I simply went through the setup for one listening position and the results were excellent.

Once you have used the auto set up it is still best to check ( via the manual set up ) the distance it has registered for all the speakers to your main listening position and adjust if required. The distances can sometimes be out and it's worth using a tape measure to get them right.
