Hi there, my recently purchased Denon PMA-720AE Amplifier from Richer Sounds seems to have shut down. Purchased it in January this year, moved it to another room on Saturday, running away fine with a record playing, then after about 20 minutes lost most of it's power, only a red light flashes when I turn it on (as it always did) then stops and there's nothing.

When I was playing it, the washing machine was on it's last cycle in the next room and vibrating pretty bad (as they do), I wonder if there would be a sensor in it that shuts it down if it's vibrating??? This may not be linked?? Everything else works fine cd deck, turntable etc.

I'm not the most technical bloke, so any help would be much apprecited

Hi ,

Can you tell us any more details. Like how many speakers and what speakers + volume you are driving them at?

How are you connecting the cable to the amp? Check the connections and make sure they are no stray wires and you are connecting it properly. Seems like it is going into protection and shutting down.

The amp should be under warranty if its this year so I would take it back.

How loud did you have your music at the time of power out? If it was loud (above 12 o'clock on the vol dial), could have damaged something - possibly
