Denon 1909

I am interested in the Denon 1909 but concerned about whether you can only upscale via composite or other analogue connection or can it be through hdmi to hdmi could someone please advise . Cheers joreth

Hey Joreth,

As far as I know the Denon 1909 can only upscale your analogue connections to 1080p as you say. It will not upscale HDMI to 1080p. In fact I believe the earliest model in the Denon line up to do it is the Denon AVR-3808.

Most HDMI equipped products tend to be 1080p native resolution or upscale to 1080p themselves anyway, so this isn't really an issue. It's only an issue for those who need to upscale non HDMI products or analogue sources.
