Delay before posting

This may have come up elsewhere but I can't find it on this part of the site.

I've always had a delay on hitting the reply button to when I can actually start typing a reply, generally 30 seconds. Why is that? No other site I use takes this long. Is it possible to have a quick reply box at the bottom of a thread?

Yes, we're aware of this, and this is one of the many improvements we'll be making to the Forums as we've already discussed here.
