dbPoweramp - How to Obtain Missing Artwork etc

Hi,

I have just started what will be a marathon 4 or 5 months of ripping 1800 CDs onto a mirrored hard drive in FLAC for streaming via Sonos. I am ripping the CDs using dbPoweramp.

So far, so good for a non-technical person like me, however I am experiencing the following problem and its annoying the life out of me:

dbPoweramp can't find tracklistings and/or artwork for some of my CDs. I know for a fact that they are present and correct on iTunes for instance. I believe that iTunes uses Gracenote for the info.

How do I find the tracklistings and artwork without having to type it all in myself? Are there other databases to try that I can then link to dbPoweramp for ripping? Any sites that artwork can be downloaded in JPEG?

This is really annoying me and is slowing down an already slow process so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gareth

What version of dbPowerAmp are you using? The latest version has access to about half a dozen different sources, I've yet to find a CD it couldn't get the tracklisting for. Occasionally it doesn't find the art work, but I've got mp3tag (which, despite the name does flac as well), which will search Amazon for the artwork.

This stopped working for me too a week ago or so. It was all workng fine before then.

I was just getting 1 or 2 choices or none at all.

There was a change made to the internet cover art part of DbPowerAmp - if you upgrade to the latest beta all the artwork choices become available again. You won't lose any settings - just upgrade over the top of the old version.

Hi. I am currently using the free, fully functional trial of dbPoweramp but I will be paying for the full version this week. Do you think the full version will make a difference?

Also, how do you get mp3tag to work alongside dbPoweramp or do you use it separately, search for the artwork and then add it to the file?

Sorry, I'm not very good wih this type of thing.

Dunno, I'm trying to download the latest version now (14.1), dog slow though...

Sorry, I do it separately, usually dbPoweramp is fine by itself (up until this recent issue) but I've still got stuff ripped from old versions when it didn't get artwork at all, so I'm lazily updating album art as and when I can be bothered.
