This disc has been encoded with a 7.1 lossless audio track. I have a Panasonic BD30 player and Denon 2808 receiver and Kef 3005 SE speakers (5.1).
When I tried to watch this disc there was an overpowering and very distorted sound from the surrounds - sounded like it would blow my speakers! The volume of the surrounds was far greater than the fronts. There are no other audio options on this disc except 3 variants of stereo with commentaries.
The only way that I could get it any form of satisfactory (and safe) results was by changing the speaker config on the Denon to include rears that aren't actually connected. This made the film watchable but I suspect that there is some rear information missing.
Has anybody else experienced this with this Blu ray or any other 7.1 discs?
Are there any steps that I should take to get the full 7.1 info into 5.1?
