Dali Ikon 1 v Ikon 2

Hi all

anybody any opinions as to how much better the Ikon 2 is than the Ikon 1. Is it worth the extra money. I'd be prepared to find the extra if they are considered better. I plan to use them as the rears to complement my Dali Ikon 6 5.1 set up to make it 7.1 when required but to use mainly for music with my Denon DM37 in the bedroom. I know they might be considered slightly too good for the DM37 but I'm currently using Ikon 5s with it and am pleased with the results (I need to use the 5s for another project).

I had the Ikon 1s here for a few days quite recently and was very impressed with them. The only criticism I would have is that they were rather bass light. I went for the Mezzo 2s instead which I feel are better balanced speakers but I would imagine the Ikon 2s would make an excellent purchase.

The Ikon2 offers more bass as you would imagine and is a more open speaker. The 2's will match with your 6's at the front and would be my choice. They are no harder to drive than the Ikon5s so if the Denon manages them it will cope with the 2's.
