DAC between SkyHD and a power Amp

Hello everyone

Would a DAC ( like a DACMagic or a Beresford Caiman ) placed between a SkyHD box and a power Amp be useful to improve the sound from Sky ?

Do you mean power amp?

Since you couldn't use a DacMac connected directly to the power amp as it doesnt have variable outputs/volume control.

The Beresford however, does.

My set-up would be SkyHD > Beresford Caiman > Onkyo 905 .

What would your ( and other members ) opinion be ? SQ higher or not ?

It will only improve 2 channel sound.
