Ive posted a few times recently about getting a new pair of standmouts for my mf xa1/ arcam r-dock set up, ive decided to get a pair of quad 11l's as they sounded great when i had my demo, my dealer has has also got an old cyrus dad7 for 150 pounds, i was going to spend about 600 pounds on a new cdp, for the money is the cyrus a good bet?

To take a cue from your avatar, I'd say 'Oh yus yus yus...'

I was always attracted to this player. I liked the lid.

It would be worth emailing Cyrus to ask if lasers were still available, and what they charge for servicing, just in case the worst happens.

I dont think cyrus make any parts for this model anymore, the player is in good working order, the only down side is that if it breaks it will be beyond repair due to age, for the money ill take my chances, thanks for the reply, Eddie.

Are you certain?

Good British companies like Cyrus and Naim service a lot of old kit.

My dealer says cyrus doesnt stock the old philips parts anymore and once they break thats it, 150 pounds is a good price, im prepared to risk it.
