Cyrus advice needed

Current system is Cyrus dab 8.0, Cyrus Cd 8x with PSX-R, Cyrus 8Vs2, Cyrus 8Power. Cyrus interconnects and Cyrus Biwire speaker cable. I am Bi amping. B&W 685s

Would it be an upgrade to trade in my 8Vs2 for a PreVs2 ?

I am about to purchase a further PSX-R, would this be best powering the 8Vs2 or the 8Power?

I am starting to think that my current speakers are holding back my system. Any suggestions for suitable stand mounting bi wireable replacements (1k max) would be appreciated. Very varied musical taste, from Rachmaninov to Pink Floyd, via dance, chill, rock and country !

Finally.... I ahve been quoted £600 to factory upgrade my Cd 8x to se spec, is the se really six hundred quid better than the 8x ?

If it were me, and it was at one time as I have had almost all of these I would upgrade the 8VS to the Pre VS, no doubt. If you can unload the 8VS pick up a PSX and add it the Pre amp for the biggest gains. I bought the new SE from the 8X, it depends how seriously you like your music I feel that it is miles ahead of the old but for 600 thats a judgement call. If the funds are there I would think about another 8 power instead. I have two smart powers and that is another upgrade, keeping the 8X for now. Thats what I would do, later down the road sell the 8X and find a 8SE. Hope that helps.
